About Us
The Dance Hut is a friendly and inclusive dance school in the village of Storrington, West Sussex.
Our aim is to instil a love of Theatre and Dance in a nurturing, happy and safe environment,
in all age groups and at all levels of experience.
Our Story
The Dance Hut was established in 2016 driven by Miss Lucy’s love of Dance and Theatre, and a
dream to pass this passion on to the next generation.
It began with 2 classes per week to see if there was a space in peoples lives for a fun and vibrant
dance school. ‘Let’s give it a year’ was the plan. Almost 6 years later, and there are currently 27
classes on the timetable and 4 dedicated teachers.
New classes are continually added as our students grow and progress through the syllabus.
We consider ourselves incredibly lucky and have successfully built a great reputation through our high standards, caring and nurturing teaching methods, and welcoming and inclusive classes. In return, we have terrifically supportive students and families, without whom we would struggle to hold our exams and performances.
The Dance Hut take great pride in being the very best and achieving a 100% exam pass rate of
which over 95% consistently are distinctions. All the teachers work hard to develop each individual’s confidence along with a strong technique in a friendly yet disciplined environment.
Throughout the year there are various performance opportunities including biennial shows, summer school and workshop days.

All teachers at The Dance Hut are highly qualified and professionally trained.
They are also fully insured, first aid trained and hold a full chaperone license and / or an enhanced DBS certificate.
